After graduating from college, I learned that there are huge number of graduates looking for jobs as well. Most of the time, a college graduate would settle for a job that only requires a high school graduate skills, just to be employed and get the necessary work experience he can put on his resume when he tries to apply for a different job. There are many mismatch of manpower. Most of the workers are overqualified for the position they are in to. But either they are doing for experience or the job they wanted is no longer hiring employees. There are also a lot of college graduates all over the world that do not have a stable job years after they graduated. The competition among college graduates is getting stiffer each year as more graduates match on the stage to get their degree. The number of jobs available is not enough for the number of fresh graduates each year. Now that economy is undergoing recession, the competition in getting a decend job gets harder and tougher.

When I was in preschool, during our recognition day, we were asked what do we want to become when we grow up. Majority of my classmates wants to be a doctor or teacher. Well, back then I wanted to be a an atttorney so I told my teacher I wanted to be a lawyer and put bad guys in prison just like my my favorite cartoon character.
Years passed, I tried to adhere to my goal of becoming a lawyer and what I found out change my mindset. Becoming a lawyer is tough, really tough. Starting off from entering law school. Most undergone the pre law major before entering to law school. But you get a great variety in a pre-law major, but not an area of concentration that can be helpful later in you career. Then you pass the bar exam, that would be the start of a relentless career. People will go to you only when they ahve problem, they will be very unhappy before you even begin to work on resolving the problem and when they do not get a settlement, chances are you will not get paid for all the hard work and labor you render for the case.

When I was still in high school, planning for college have been one of hte most exciting part of my life. The process of selecting a college or university and applying for admission is a bit stressful for me and my family. Getting the PSAT is another thing. But it seemed to me back then that it will be one of the deciding factors I will consider in what course I will take in college.
Most of the time, high school students are influenced by their parents, the school choice of their friends, thier own choice of preference, the popularity of the university among others. Sometimes, they tend to enrol in a college where the uniform looks good or the school has a good sports program.
There are universities that have a rigorous and highly competitive admission process, while others will admit you as long as you can pay the tuition fee. But no matter where you enroll, your academic records and performance will speak to your prospective employers some day.
